My dad instilled in us the knowledge that we, as a family, are so incredibly lucky and need to help those who are not as fortunate. Keeping with the generosity of the man who inspired Ultimo Gifts, we will be donating 53% of all profits to various charities.

Why 53?

Because that was my dad's number.  Do you have a number that seems to pop up at every turn and you don’t know whether you’ve conditioned yourself to be extra aware of that number or it really does come up often in your life?  That was 53 for my dad. He grew up at 53 Paul St. I spent the majority of my childhood at 530 Chapel St. It came up constantly...minute on the bank clock as we drove by, miles on a sign to our destination, price of our groceries at checkout.  On and on. Even after he passed, it still comes up. My dad and sister attended a lot of Chicago White Sox baseball games together over the years. The first game my sister attended after my dad passed, she texted me early in the game and said, “White Sox leadoff guy just hit a home run.  Guess what jersey # he has? 53. :)”. I count down from 53 when putting my son to sleep and it works...most of the time.
